What the free trial includes — and what it doesn't
What you can do in a Skypium individual trial — card, capacity, how corporate applications differ, and what happens when the trial ends.
The most frustrating thing about a cloud trial is spending the first half hour on it and only then discovering that the thing you came for isn’t there. This post says it up front: what you can do in an individual trial, and what happens when the trial ends. For the current credit amount, duration and resource limits, see the Free Trial page — we don’t repeat the numbers here, because there they come from the live system and here they would go stale.
We don’t ask for a card
An individual trial needs no credit card. Your account opens once you verify your e-mail address, and the starting credit is granted. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends; your account moves to pay-as-you-go, and from that point you pay for what you use.
A corporate application is not the same as an individual trial
There are two separate paths, and confusing them wastes time:
- Individual trial — e-mail verification is enough, there is no waiting, your account opens immediately.
- Corporate application — it goes through our team’s approval. You cannot sign in to the panel until it is approved; we notify you of the outcome by e-mail.
If you are in a hurry, start with the individual trial and move to a corporate account later.
Trial capacity is limited
The number of individual trials open at the same time is capped. If the cap is full, registration is not accepted and you see that on the signup screen — you won’t hit an unexplained error. When capacity frees up you can try again, or apply for a corporate account.
What happens when time or credit runs out
When the period ends or your starting credit is used up, the remaining credit becomes unusable and your account continues on pay-as-you-go. Your servers are not deleted — everything you built during the trial stays where it is.
One point worth stating plainly: if you keep using the service your balance goes negative, and if it is not settled your servers are paused after a while. Pausing is not deletion; your server and its disks stop, and are started again once payment is made. The process is not silent: you get a reminder first, then a suspension e-mail.
