Frequently asked questions
Is there a separate charge for auto scaling?
No. There is no separate line item for the auto-scaling service; you pay only the vCPU, RAM and disk of the servers the group is currently running.
What triggers a scaling action?
A schedule you write, or an immediate scale command you issue from the panel. Automatic triggering on a metric threshold does not exist yet; it is on the roadmap.
How large can a group grow?
You set the limit. The ceiling is also bounded by your account quota; you can request a quota increase for enterprise needs.
Who can use it?
Auto scaling is available on reseller and corporate (tenant) accounts. It does not appear in the panel of an individual customer account; talk to us if you need it.
Can I scale manually?
Yes, you can issue an immediate scale command. Automatic policies are not disabled; they take effect again at the next evaluation.
