Migration Tools
Move from where you are, without downtime
Agentless from VMware, a Windows GUI tool for physical servers — migrate live without downtime; or restore VMware backups you took with Narbulut Virtual Machine Backup straight into Skypium. If the connection drops, it resumes where it left off.

Agentless migration from VMware
Move VMs straight out of your vCenter environment, live, with no agent to install on the target.
Physical servers via a Windows GUI tool
An easy-to-run Windows desktop tool walks you through moving physical servers into Skypium.
Uninterrupted chunk-resume
If the connection drops mid-transfer, migration picks up from the last chunk — it doesn't start over.
Three sources, one destination
VMware, a physical server, or another virtual environment — whichever you're coming from, the same flow lands you on Skypium.
Restore from a Narbulut backup
If you back up your VMware VMs with Narbulut Virtual Machine Backup, those backups show up in Skypium as "External Backups"; pick the restore point you want and restore it as a boot-from-volume server — even when the source environment is no longer running.
HOW IT WORKS
From setup to daily use
-
Pick your source
Choose VMware, a physical server, or another virtual machine as your source.
-
Run the migration tool
VMware connects agentlessly; physical servers use the Windows GUI tool.
-
Watch the transfer
Your disk data moves in chunks — if the connection drops, it resumes right where it stopped.
-
Boot it on Skypium
Once the transfer finishes, your server is ready on Skypium as a boot-from-volume instance.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install an agent to migrate from VMware?
No — VMs in your VMware environment are migrated agentlessly, read directly from the live environment.
How do I migrate a physical server?
A Windows desktop tool you run on the physical server walks your disk over to Skypium step by step.
What happens if the connection drops mid-transfer?
The chunk-resume mechanism picks the transfer back up from where it stopped — you don't have to start over.
Does my source server go down during migration?
No — migration happens while your source server keeps running; the only downtime is the final cutover step.
Which source environments are supported?
You can live-migrate from VMware vCenter, physical servers, and other virtual environments — three source types in total. You can also restore VMware backups taken with Narbulut Virtual Machine Backup directly from "External Backups" in Skypium — that path doesn't need the source to be running, so it works for disaster recovery too.
How does my server run after migration?
Your migrated disk boots as a boot-from-volume server on Skypium, managed just like any other Skypium server.
