Frequently asked questions
What does 'application-consistent' mean?
Right before the backup starts, the OS is briefly told to pause disk writes, so even a database mid-write gets a consistent copy. (Technical note: this uses fsfreeze on Linux and VSS on Windows.)
Do I control the backup schedule?
Yes — you set the frequency (daily/weekly/monthly) and how many copies to keep in your own policy.
How long does a restore take?
Restoring a backup usually completes in minutes, and your server is back up shortly after.
